The European Massage, is one of our most popular massage techniques. Often, the European Massage is compared to the Swedish Massage, as they both are well-known for their soothing feel and therapeutic nature.
How Does it Work?Using simple, basic strokes in the right combination, our bodywork experts are able to provide clients with unmatched relaxation, reduced tension, and overall health and wellness.
The European Massage is defined by the unique types of strokes used.
The first of which uses a light skimming touch, known as effleurage. This light touch is important as it warms up the muscles and encourages the veins and the lymphatic system to move blood into the heart.
Then comes the petrissage, a kneading, wringing and light squeezing technique. These strokes are quite common in many massage types, and they tend to penetrate deeper and require more pressure. The added pressure causes the underlying muscles to become compressed and knots are removed.
Who is the best candidate for the European Massage? The European Massage is an extremely relaxing, and soothing massage. The use of certain oils and techniques, puts the client in an extremely relaxed state, allowing them to free both the mind & body from the stresses of daily life!
If you are in need of relaxation and tension relief, then the European Massage is for you. In addition to the relaxation, the European Massage help clients in a number of ways, including:
